Cookie Policy
The cookies this website uses, what each one does, and how to change your choice.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work. Others, such as analytics cookies, are optional, and we only use them if you agree.
The cookies we use
| Cookie | Set by | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
fpl_consent | Flashpoint Legal | Strictly necessary | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we do not ask on every page. | 180 days |
_ga | Google Analytics | Analytics (optional) | Distinguishes one visitor from another, so we can count visits without identifying anyone. | 390 days (about 13 months) |
_ga_LG52QMMJT1 | Google Analytics | Analytics (optional) | Keeps track of the current visit (session). | 390 days (about 13 months) |
The two Google Analytics cookies are only set if you choose “Accept analytics”, or switch analytics on under “Manage preferences”. If you reject analytics, or make no choice, Google Analytics does not run at all.
What analytics does and does not collect
Analytics tells us which pages are visited, how visitors arrive at the site, and whether they use our phone number, WhatsApp or enquiry form. It never receives what you type into the enquiry form, your contact details, or any details of your legal matter. Google signals and advertising features are switched off. Detailed analytics records are deleted after 14 months. Our Privacy Policy explains more, including your rights.
Other content from third parties
The Solicitors Regulation Authority’s digital badge at the bottom of every page is loaded from its provider’s servers (cdn.yoshki.com) and from Google’s servers (ajax.googleapis.com). Our tests found that it does not set cookies. Our Privacy Policy explains what information those servers receive. Our fonts are served from our own website.
Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time. Use , which is also at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we remove the analytics cookies from your browser.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookie, the site will ask for your cookie choice again on each visit.
